Is anybody using (with or without success) the Northland Glow Sticks? Even at just one inch, they seem large to me. If they trigger fish, count me in.

Haven't used glow sticks as an attractor but have used them as a good night fishing strike indicator. Reindeer beels work good to but they are hard to use if you use more then two pairs of bells or are in the shallows. They might work as an underwater attractor I have just for one never used them for that application.

On Upper Red Lake they are super hot right now. I guess they are getting pretty hard to come by.

I have used them through the ice and in low light conditions, they have worked to catch more fish for me than I usually would have if I had not been using them. Chris K.

I used them the other day and had minimal success. Had fish on the screen but wouldn't bite. Try some other time.

They are made by Northland Tackle and attach to a jig or a jigging spoon like their Buck Shot Rattle Rings do. Break the small lightstick (orange, green, and blue are the colors I have used) and push it into the silicone hole in the holding sleve and you are set. I have used them on jigs and jigging spoons. With a jigging spoon take the treble off and slide the silicone stick holder down the shank of the treble and put it back on the split ring. Stick the glow stick in the holder and you are set. I put them on my slip bobbers for night fishing. Another handy use is to tape them to my direction indicator on my tolling motor for night trolling.

Ever see the glow sticks kids use during Halloween? These are the mini version. They are about the same size as a buckshot rattle and attach the same way.
