Check out the rapala auger in the Cabelas catalog. this auger used to be made by a company called Tanaka. The idea for the Lazer cam from the Tanaka. There are slite differences, head design and so on. Side by side the Tanaka( rapala) is faster than the lazer.

go with the lazer, I have one of thoose blue ones....... dont the brandname off hand. I used mine to drill a hole in 2ft of ice then tried a lazer. theres deffinatly a differnce.
