Okay fellow posters, it's time to show off. Fishing Hot Spots has launched a new line of books called the "Destination Series." The first one, SMALLMOUTH! AMERICA'S TOP BASS WATERS is already on the shelves.

Our next one for walleye is in production now for release in June and we need some additional pictures. Scott was good enough to allow me to post this request, and I publicly thank him and Walleye Central.

We're in search of fish pictures worth publishing. Now, keep in mind we're picky, so only consider your BEST shots. They must be clear, well lit, good color definition, have an uncluttered background, few shadows (like on the face from a cap), showing the fish in its best position (usually supported under the belly) in profile. Look at some magazine covers, or shots supporting articles for an idea.

We need any people identified, specs on the fish and the body of water. If you happen to have any "creative" shots, such as a live release boatside or any closeups, they will certainly be considered. We can take .35mm prints, good quality "instant" shots that can be scanned, or you can email picture files (such as a .jpg) that are better than 300-dpi to me at mikem@fishinghotspots.com. Also, make sure the photos and/or files are marked with a return address. If you write on the back of a photo, DON'T PRESS HARD! It's best to use a mailing label and stick it on the back. Many a good picture has been ruined by writing that dimples the shot from the back. Also, there should not be a date/time stamp on the pic or it is rendered useless.

There is some legal stuff. By virtue of responding to this post and submitting a picture for consideration, you are giving your unconditional permission to allow Fishing Hot Spots to publish the shot with no strings attached. There are no royalties, no compensation (other than having your success published in a national work) and no relationship implied. You will also be afforded the opportunity to purchase the book (if your shot is used) at half the retail price.

Thanks in advance for any submissions and if you have any questions, just drop me a note. We need these in-hand by the beginning of February, so hit the photo albums soon. Again, we appreciate the opportunity to post here and all of your support.
