View Full Version : Western Basin Report 7-4
The bite is finally starting to pick up in the western basin. Fished near middle sister today and caught 8 nice fish and lost 3 others. Fishing was excellent before the wind died. Hot lure was a gold weapon at a 20 count. Trolled after the wind died and picked a couple on stinger spoons.

Were you in U.S. Waters? I was in the same area and got skunked. Brought back one fish. Will be out tommorrow too. Will try that area again.
Yes, I was just inside the line. The fish were suspended a little early in the morning and right off the bottom towards noon. There were a lot of fish being caught around me. Try gold or chartruse weapons with a slow retrieve. That is what worked for us

I also fished off of Bolles Harbor yesterday near E bouy. Picked up 6 nice eyes trolling south of the pack and then switched to perch. There was a heavey concentration of fish on the screen. They seemed to want crankbaits rather than spoons.
