Fish'n Fool

I get tired of the controversy that goes on I have a better then you thing so I did a test. I took 2 units out to a deep lake here in WI fl8 and color point I set them to the 65 foot depth that I was in. I had both units about 1 ft apart so that I could read and make changes quickly.I found that thjey were very close ot the same readings I then marked fish I turned one unit on the other off quickly to see if the marks came in the same and they did no difference. I did note that the fish on the bottom could be read a lot easier on the color point then on the Vex. I think due to the power difference. I did mark alot more on the bottom. I then took the units next to where others were using locators to check for interference and the color point even though it had more power did not pick up the interference like the vex did. I dont know if its because the frequency is simular for the other units being used everyone out there had a vex the color point seemed to be free of the clutter that comes with being close to others. I then moved to a shallow bay that was 8ft deep and checked the units and I found that they both preformed well and I did not mark any fish so I cant tell you how they would work when a fish moves in Just one of those days i didn't see any fish down the hole to get a reading I drilled 26 holes yesterday and I tried every which way to have the units mess up so that I could answer questions as best as I can. i then called tech support on the 2 units to see how long it took to get thru. I found that I was on hold the longest with Zercom I hung up after 20min. the people at Vex were right there the next day this morning I got right thru to Zercom so I think timing is important and I hate waiting. I found both units worked real well I did not wee any problem with workmanship If I had to decide I would not place a judgement on the units I think that it is very personal for you to decide I will probably get some flack on what I didn't find but at least I can make my own decision for my needs Now go out and have a good day fishing Jim
