Dipsys off Lorain

Anyone wanting to learn Dipsys by catching fish, the time is now and the place is out in front of Lorain. There are lots of white bass and sheephead with a few walleyes mixed in. Great chance to perfect your skills.(you may end up with dipsy elbow) We ran 1 @ 55, 2 @ 68, 3 @ 90, & 4 @ 115 with stinger scorpions. Water depth of 39 - 47', speed of 2.3 mph. All the regular good colors worked. It may get real good in a few days. Good luck

ETT, are the dipsy number's 1-4 the actual dipsy size, or the setting? I've been using jet divers lately, but would like to work on the dipsys. Please advise.....your info always appreciated.

Is there a conversion chart for the names to the numbers for the scorpion spoons. For example Scorpion xch78 is confusion, x64 is perch. I hear people talking about death, monkey puke but don't know what the color combonation is to buy them. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Jason I have the color charts(with some nicknames) for Stinger as the new ones are not finished yet. Soon I hope! I could answer some if you need. All the new packaging has the number and the nickname on it.That will help when purchasing. MonkeyPuke is SH59. Haven't heard what you guys are calling Death. Believe it or not you guys make up most the names.

I've been trying to get the nickname to product ID conversions for the new spoons all summer. Can you tell me the product Id for Superman?

I have the nicknames from a web site called capt-chuck.com, but the names don't convert to the stingers very well. thanks.

The RS 9 is the Rainbow trout.Kevorkian is S36 Theres actually 4 Kevorkians but the one used primarily here on Erie is the S36.

Also so theres no misunderstanding the Scorpion perch is XG4 it's looks like it was written above as (X64) theres is no (X64)

I'm sorry guys -my mistake!! the Kevorkian above is Wrong . The one we know is XSH60 in the Scorpion size, SH60 in the Standard. The Rainbow Trout is right Standard size is RS9 and the Scorpion is XS9.

Den, we had some real nice steelhead 1 18 pounder , 2 14s probably 5 or 6 over 11, out on the line. Had our 20 by noon, and got 20 eyes messin around inside by 3:00. Gonna get good I hope. Walleyes where on the east side of the bar, from the east cup down to the north end of the dump. Lots of junk with em. Great opportunity for beginers to get bite.

How far offshore are you fishing? Is there a pack of boats in the hot areas? I will be comming up this week and staying at Sandusky, but it looks like a reasonable trip over to Lorain if they are biting. Thanx for any advice!

The line (Canadian border) is 18 miles due north of Lorain, the dump is about 6 miles to the far side , Good luck
