John,
Haven't fished Geneva yet this year, but I've heard fishing has been great all around due to a large algae bloom this year. Smallies are holding deep in 20+ feet of water next to shore structure. Use light line, a small split short, and a hook and crawler. Walleye action is up this year, but still sparse. Best action is at night or early morning. If you plan on heading up on Saturday, I would suggest getting there as early as possible. I've tried to fish the lake twice this year, but both times the launches I knew of were full by 4 a.m. If this happens, head up HWY. 50 for about 5 miles and try Delavan. Not as crowded and great numbers. Caught approx. 20 eyes there last week, biggest being 17.25". Keeper is 18". Good luck and tight lines.
