Boy, if it wasn't so far and I had more time to plan in advance, I would take you guys up on this in a heart beat. It has become a dream of mine to try lake Erie one of these years. I think I have a boat that I would feel comfortable tackling the lake with. Just don't know what I would be doing out there. A friend of mine was out there this past April and pre-fished the PWT tourney with one of the guys. He really got me fired up with his stories and pictures. Biggest lake I have been on is Lake Oahe. Maybe some day!!!
Here's an idea, I don't know if I can swing this or not, but maybe we could get 6 or so people together from this part of SD (I saw your email address, I live in the same town you do) and truck out there sometime. With 6 of us and 2 boats, we would stand a better chance than going it alone.
Probably just pipe dream, but maybe...

Mike, thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on that. Eyez, always game to try something. A trip like this would be difficult for me to just up and go. It would take a little bit of advance planning (couple weeks to a month anyway) but could work out most anything. Especially early in the year during April. As I said, I have always wanted to make a trip like this. Just real leary of such a big lake without any experience and never had a boat that I would be comfortable in. How big of boat does it take out there. I have a 18.5 foot boat with 150hp and a 15hp motors. I have a handheld GPS. Shoot me an email if you want.
if you have an 18ft boat that is just fine out on lake erie..My friend has a 16 crestliner,and it handles well out there...
Would love to join you out there,Iam 35 retired due to medical reason..But it doesnt keep me from doing anything that i want too...
