Coincidence?

A weekend trip to Erie on the 14th of this month included trolling for walleye alone in my boat, a perch trip with my son and his freind, and a day trip to Pelee Island with the entire family. The walleye were there to be caught with a limit of fish, the boys caught many perch with more than an occasional walleye on the perch spreader, and the trip to Pelee was a straight shot without a single commercial net to dodge. Why has the fishing picked up since I haven't seen the nets?
Is this simply a coincidence?
