After a recent trip to Salmon Falls Res., i am sunburn, my back doesn't work anymore, my hands no longer have skin (anchor rope) and i have used every cuss word in the book, 100 times. All i got to show for it is four measlee fillets (that are already eaten of course). I have been to two of the three reservoirs that have walleye down here in SE Idaho. Its either, they are too small or i am plain, just not cathing them. Any reports or recommendations would be greatly reduce this fishermans sorrow and grief. Thanx in advance.

bigvic, either give up and start bass fishing (as I've done), or trailer over to the columbia or down to Utah. Idaho 'eyes are a losing proposition- no focus in a trout state.

I would recommend taking up another hobby like stamp collecting or collecting baseball cards. Walleye fishing in Idaho is a losing proposition. Sorry, for the bad news. Hey look at the good side, football season is here and you have plenty of free Saturdays to watch the Boise St. football team in action

Get used to it...fish and game will do nothing to improve the fishing for walleyes here in Idaho. They are afraid that they will eat thier hatchery raised trout (who cares). Just woke up from fishing all night on Oakley res near Burley. Only caught two 12 inch fish. What a waste of time. Have fished Salmon Res. with the same results for 5 years.

The only answer is to drive to Neb.,Mont., South Dakota or my favorite North Dakota for some outstanding fishing. Its a long drive but worth the trip......Don

Northern Idaho Priest Lake has good pop of walleye, but thats alot of bad roads from SE Id.- i would go to the Columbia River,im sure you have heard of the pigs there-world class fishery- 7-8 hour ride from twin falls-freeway the whole way!ya'll oughta get together and make a trip of it. i used to live in Richland Wa.

Thanks for all the replies. Its a good thing hunting season is around the corner...i was serious contemplating the stamp collecting thing.

By the way, have any of you guys been to Willard Bay, Utah? I heard there is some good eye fishing to be done there and not many people fish it. You would have to pick a strategic time though, was driving by it on sat. and there was a ton of r.v. watercraft buzz'n around.

I could possibly give you some advice; I'm from Michigan. Fish lake Erie with great success; what footage are you fishing, clarity of water, understructures, overcast or mostly sun. Go check out www.greatlakefishing.net; their is a hotmail address on that site. Give me an email; Fishin Randall
