What kind of knots do you guys and gals tie when jigging, rigging and cranking with fireline? I am thinking of trying some this year but have no idea what knots to use. Thanks in advance.

I ROGER Palomar, all the way! But, there are times when this is impractical; for instance: three way swivels. At those times I use the improved (clinch, cinch, trilene) knot. Depends on who pronounces it or what part of the country you are from, eh?!! And I soak it before pulling it tight! Then I double check it for knot integrity.

Hey Gillnet,
If you are in the area, come on down to the Walleye Central booth at the Midwest Walleye Expo in Milwaukee. Or look me up at any of the appearances I ahve on my appearance schedule on My Pro Page.
I will be glad to show you (or anyone) the slickest knot to use with Fireline, or any of the Superlines. It will not slip! And unlike the Palomar, which is a fine option, but limited as in the 3 way example above, you can tie this knot anytime.
See you at the shows........R

Ralph, what do you call the knot? I wish I would have read this
before meeting you in Milwaukee.
