I need to decide whether to take Friday off work to fish the Detroit River. The weather forecast for Thursday is calling for gales up to 35 mph out of the west. I know that a sustained east blow and/or heavy rains will turn the river to mud. Does anyone have a good enough memory to tell me what a west wind of this strength might do?

homer the west wind will not muddy the water as long as we dont get north east winds the river will stay clean.when the wind blows from the north east it blows water out of the fields in canada and sends it down our way. dont know if that the real reason or not but thats what a lot of people say i do know that after a north east wind it gets muddy
