I have a 1983 26' starcraft with a 470 mercruiser eng. I had alot of problems with it the last couple of years (oil pressure overheating etc...) recently I had it rebuilt by a local marine shop and had not had it out yet ( of course fishin erie it wont be for a couple of months) But my question is, is this a reliable engine or not . The boat is fairly new to me and I hope it all works out well, but I have a young son who is dying to go fishin this year but I dont want to get stuck on the water with a broke down boat. Am I better off dumpin it or keepin it??????
