Planning a trip in late Sept/early Oct. What kind of bite can I expect this time of year on walleyes. Fished it this spring with lots of success. Are there any different tactics or areas that are key to success in the fall? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Same tactics as in the spring/summer, drifting, vertical jigging, boat control 95% of your effort. Use minnows and/or crawlers with as light a jig as you can still feel the bottom. Try launching out of Erie Metro and fish up-river about 1/4 mile. Good luck! Let me know how you do as I'm thinking of trying it there soon. Have had good/excellent success through October.
