The following is the current report from the guide #####.

Full moon fever!! That means it's time to get your butt out there! Fishing
action has been pretty good. Its already August and if you don't get out
there soon there will be ice on the pond. Northerns, large and smallmouth
bass and a few walleyes have been fooled into our boat the past few days.
Gull, North long and the Whitefish chain have been the top producers in the
area. But don't forget the mighty Miss., It's one that is overlooked by
most. And I know you won't be sorry if you try it. Ask Doug Northam of
Maple Grove, who caught a 20" smallmouth on Saturday. We'll have a picture
of that one on the "catch of the day page" one of the next few days. We
will also have a picture of John Miller with his 27" walleye that he caught
on Gull yesterday.
Tip of the week: Remember not to leave the house without packing the
ultralight. It could be the difference between a fresh fish meal or a
chalupa dinner. Good luck fishing this week, Walleyedan

Troll the weedbeds and flats north of Squaw Point for Northerns. Musky tandems trolled just below the surface should catch you some toothy critters. Tip the Musky tandem with a sucker/minnow might get more bites too.
