On one of walleye centrals links from the main page is a site that shows top trophy lakes. The page is half full of huge walleyes from 22 to 17 lbs. all caught from Greers Ferry Lake. In the last year or so that I have been reading post on this board I don't ever remember hearing of this place. Does anyone one out there know about it or have you ever fished it? Thanks
Are the pictures dated? I think I read that it is not the super-trophy producer that it once was, but that is only from the printed word I have never fished it.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's, Greer's Ferry Reservoir in Arkansas was the best shot at a new world record. The current world record fish is listed from there because of discrepancies of length and weight of the Mabry Harper fish from Kentucky. Greer's Ferry was a late February/early March bite. Most of these big fish were prespawn females caught using sunfish or bluegills as bait. It reached it's peak back in the early to mid 80's. It still is a producer of walleyes but not in the numbers of big fish it used to produce. Hope this answers your question.
