I have 6 in line planer, how does everybody store them on their boat, I was thinking a duffle bag, or a small rubbermaid container. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

somebody help me here! cant remember the name of the company. There is a company that makes planer board "holders" to mount on Your boat, boards are always out of the way, kept clean and ready to go. This company also makes leech bags, drift chutes, and other organizational accessories for the boat.
If Your going to about any of the shows this winter, they will have a booth, i found em at the Walleye Expo in Mn last year
good luck

I think you're referring to the Drift Tamer, Leech Tamer, etc company. Can't remember their name--I couldn't find it in the products section here on WC.

I was looking through the classifieds a while back and was Capt. Doug Schrieber's boat with those bouey marker holder mounted in the splashwell area on his boar, with his planer boards stored in those. Go to the classifieds and see the picture of his boat.

I just stick mine in the passenger console compartment (by the feet) where I keep my rod holders.

they're called Planer Tamers . each one holds 4 boards, in a pouch with elastic straps. They work great & cost 19.95 retail. can be order from above site.

I have been told they fit well in Lindy marker bouy holders.

This could be a good excuse to the wife to get one but, the port side tackle storage shelves in a Tuffy Osprey pro Series is perfect for planer boards and rodholders. Eight of each and a box of drop weights and board clips. Just a thought.

i have seen people use marker holders. you can store the off shore type boards in marker holders. they slide in nice and snug. three planer boards per marker holder.

I agree with ETT the Planner Tamers work great. I have 2 and carry 8 planner boards with me all the time. Use two or three different types and they will handle any type. The address is above and be sure to ask for Joe or Nancy, Great people! When you contact them make sure you ask them about there leech bags and drift bags. I use them all and there is nothing on the market even close to the quality of these bags. I bought 5 lbs of leeches last April and used all but 2 lbs fishing tournaments and believe me they are still alive and strong! Hope this helps you out.

After the wife stepped on 2 of our boards (and invented a new language while hopping around)and broke the clamps, it made me realize that not keeping them "up" was a big mistake. So, off to the tackle store I go to see what's out there. The Planer Tamer was recommended, that was last year and I'm real happy with it.It's made out of real tough material and I have it mounted right in my splash well and away from our feet.
I aWave Tamer drift sock for christmas this year because my loving wife said I liked the board holder so much that she thought I would like another one of their products. On the box label was JNB Originals, makers of the Tamer Group.
Now, my spring fever is even worse than ever before because now I want to get out and try my new toy(s)!
Tight lines!

The best thing that I have found to store my planers in is also the Planer Tamer from JNB Originals. I got mine in Gander Mountain. It works real good because it looks good and keeps them out of my way!
