Can anyone tell me how to get Trolling bag to slow down the boat, I troll at 650 RPM need to slow down. That about 3 MPH in a 27' Sportcraft H\T. Thanks, Keep Lines Wet

Two drift socks (sea anchors by another name), tied to the front cleats. Ropes must be short enough to keep the socks out of the prop.
A single drift sock will cause the boat to turn in the direction of the resistance.
It may be easier to change to a lower-pitched prop when fishing, and back to a higher pitch when cruising.
A trolling plate is also a possibility.

I have a 27'Sportcraft h/t and have been using bags to slow me down. Don't play with different props unless you have a bunch of money and time out of the water. On normal days (under 4'waves) I run one bag with a 28" open diameter on the starboard side. Once the bag is set, you don't know it's in the water. The boat doesn't pull, and the autopilot has no problem. In a heavy sea, I will go to a 36" open diameter bag which I have rigged on the port side of the boat. In the late fall and early winter, I run both bags. That will take me down to 1.2 mph. Call or e-mail me about more info on these bags and where you can get them.
