Heading up to Pymatuning this weekend I have never done any fall fishing on this lake. Does anyone have any suggestions on some spots to try and also tactics.

Was on the lake Sat, a lot of debrie floating, made it difficult to troll 1 small fish 5 hrs, then called it quits. Maybe LCL can post when the lake clears up, the fish are there just need some stable weather conditions.
Eyemadman Will do.. hope to try it tommorrow LCL.
SKUNK & MUNK

Hello, LCL, Eyemadman & Timmer,
Our names our skunk & munk. We are the new kids on the block
and have been fishing Pymatuning for many years. We have
enjoyed reading your ideas regarding lead core line fishing.
We fished the tournament September 16th and did not do well
due to the north wind and rain. However, the day before we
caught a keeper Walleye and a smaller one the next day on lead
core line. I really think that this method of fishing is going to be the upcoming thing especially inland lake fishing. Not to mention the bonus 30+ Musky that Munk caught on lead core line in about 9 feet of water trolling by pier 41. At what point does the lake change to true fishing with minnows, lead head jigs and floaters?
SKUNK& MUNCK Ialso fished the tournament Sept.16 took 2nd.place had 5 keepers out of 14 Imight have passed you at bay 41 Ialso worked that area but it was almost impossible to troll because of the wind. Out today trolled for 2hours without a hit will try again tommorrow. I hear fish are hitting jigs casting off the causeway now LCL.

LCL .. I agree with you .. patient and wait .. Take what the fish are givin' us at present & the Fall hot time is just a few weeks away .. Here's a post I made earlier today:
.. I think alot of guys are rushin' the Fall Season .. at least on shallow Lakes like IL & BL .. Nothin' is stable right now, with the cool nites & variable day temps, both Lakes just keep rollin' over at nite (cold water sinks). I've noticed on shallow Lakes that the few active Eyes will hit the banks hard & uptight under the present conditions, on IL at least. Just made a post to GrabDaNet on COFC with more of my thoughts on Fall Fishin'
Raybob I fully agree with you there will be some good fishing this year yet. JUST WAIT IT OUT... LCL.
