View Full Version : Huron OH Report for Monday
Thinking about trailering my boat 2.65 hrs to get on the action if it is still there. Did anyone go out today? What's it look like for tomorrow? Also, I've read all the info regarding the lines, but how far off shore is the bite? In decent weather, can an 18' boat work?

The bite has been generally 7-11 miles out of Huron. Two weeks ago the fish were only five miles out, but they scooted out a bit. I fish out of 21 ft. boat, and always watch the weather. I'll fish in 3-5 footers, but that's my limit. A ten mile boat ride back to port against 3-5 footers makes for a long hour plus ride back. Always use GREAT caution on Erie.
Den was out and so was Keith Uncapher (Pooh Bear).The fish are doin it but so is the wind. Get the forcast so you don't waist your time. Den will probably reply. They had good fish. Well worth the trip, but not worth takin any chances. 18' boat in good working order is fine, heck I've been 5 miles out in a 14'er with a 71/2 hp, but it was flat and going to stay that way. Watch the weather and go stick a pig. Good luck
