What an incredible 2 days(10/6 - 10/7) of fishing at Pine Falls bad weather and all!!! I went up with two other boats and we caught five walleyes over 11.5 lbs. One weighed in at 14.3 lbs. Lots of fish between 5-10lbs. Most fish were caught on the lake. Crankbaits (#9 shad Raps - clown, perch, harvest gold) and jigs with minnows were the ticket. We used jigs from 3/8 - 3/4 oz. Jigging with minnows produced alot more fish than crank-baiting. You need to be jigging close to vertical. Most fish are on the breaks around the flats(13-18 feet) The Devil's Rock flat produced the least fish even though most boats were fishing there. The Island located just as you come out onto the lake produced best the first 2 hours after sunrise(get there as the sun comes up). About 25 nice size (22" plus, one 11.5 lbs.) were caught at Treaty Rock in the river. There were only 80 boats in the tournament up there and that didn't affect our fishing success at all. By the way, fish are in the River. Any questions, post a message.

Tight Lines!

I was up at the Pine Falls the last week in September. Fished the Red on one day and Winnepeg for two. Heading back Oct 15th. Which Island is Devil's Island. Is it that little rock Island about two miles out. And where is this other Island that you mentioned. Any info is appreciated
