Illinois river report

Spent the day on the Illinois river today and caught several nice saugers and one fat walleye down by the Lacon bridge biggest fish was a hair over 5lbs. that was the Walleye and a few of the Sauger's went almost three lbs. All of the fish were taken on Char.&Lime 1/4 hair jigs in 14 to 16 foot of water along the droppff pf the Lacon bridge, it was an early bite and then fish shutdown by 10:30.:o

I was out also today and got a limit of fish off the peru flats, but the size of the fish I caught were mostly 2 to 1/2 pounders all the fish I caught were on shad raps 90 feet back on the line counters in 12 feet of water, It was also a good early bite.

Lacon bridge is the next bridge downstream from the Henry Bridge, Maybe 5 clicks.

Could you tell me which bait shops in the area (Il. River) sell these hair jigs. I use to buy Jack Crawford hair jigs but these are hard to find anymore. Most colors I find are more brown, purple or black and have not seen any chartreuse color hair jigs. Thanks, these were also good in Red Wing on the Mississippi.
