View Full Version : HURON SATURDAY
Did anyone do good today I will be there saturday. Are you trolling or drifting and how deep. Any help I would appreciate
fish were caught again between huron and vermilion, most were caught closer to vermilion again. the 4130 and 8226 numbers wer a good area to fish, but remember the fish are all over the place, so dont crowd, and better yet work around the packs of boats, it works better that way anyhow. good luck and good fishin.

Just got in from Huron. Took advice from the boards and someone we met at the shell station. Said stay away from the pack, go out to 47'deep and head east. He stressed stay away from the pack that must be the secret cuz we got 3 man limit drifting crawler harness and trolling dipseys and reef runners. We also took some minnows and caught 62 perch on the way in. Thanks to Den and everyone who gave us advice on the water and at the dock and Pat for staring us in the right direction this morning. Pat If you read this we will be at Berardis for breakfast and will buy. Gotta go to walmart and buy more coolers to take the fish fillets home.

Sorry about the late post. Fished friday, same area that Den says, but we stayed out of the pack, like some others, and we netted 24. 3 Fish Ohios. Others were complaining on the radio about the fish quitting, but we kept netting regularly. We picked them up from 12' to 26' down, best was 24'. Colors, confusion and monkeypuke. Anything else w/copper in it did ok.
Remember not to crowd, stay away from the pack and you'll do fine.

Mike,
How did you do? Do you get out sunday? I am gonna watch the weather this week and get out if I can, even if it's only for a few hours.
Let me know if you need a passenger too.

Greg--Made it out Sat. on Rocky's boat.Pulled 17 but it took all day.We lost 4 or 5 and threw back half a dozen so we averaged better than 1/hr.I usually don't get out during a workweek but we'll see. I have to get someone to fix my motor this week anyway. If you get up here good luck--let den know how ya did and he'll pass it on.He has those "spin n'troll' spoons and the one like the hogwild stinger was REALLY good this weekend. just make sure you use a good ballbearing swivel with it--also stinger boy/girl made a comeback the last few days it appeared.Boy those fish have been pressured lately. Well G/L & G/F, Mike(SKIPNSKUL CH.79
