The walleye bite has slowed down some, the fish are still there, but the foggy and calm weather conditions have made the fishing conditions somewhat tough. the fish are being caught from the 27/27 lines out to the 30/30 lines. these are just starting points, but dont hesitate to go in closer, and out farther, as well as east and west. they are still non partial as to what they want to take. they are being taken on spoons(large and small) as well as the deep diving cranks. the dipseys are working, as are the guys running downriggers, and the planer boards( both in-line and the big boards). try various depths, from the top 12 foot to the bottom 10 foot. fish are being caught at all kinds of depths, as well as on all kinds of colors. the speeds seem to be from 1.5 mph to 2.8 and even some are going as fast as 3mph. As ETT said on an earlier message, this is the time to tune up your fishing tactics, just about anything will work, if you get the lure and depth combinations as well as the speed. practice what style you want to use the most, and learn now. but above all , be safe. good luck and good fishin. see you at the W/C fish fry.
