Hi all,
just wondering what 3 way technique everyone has had the best success with in rivers. I run mostly thunder sticks, but does this out produce a live bait setup. If so what other artificals are the ticket behind a 3way. Planning on hitting the Mississippi soon and am open to any tips regarding this technique in the fall or any season. Also planning to jig the holes through the channel, any info greatly appreciated.
good fishin!

hey bc,
I live and die w/3 ways in the Mississippi..Try this-instead of a bottom weight, add a 1/2 to 1 1/4 oz. jig for your weight with a 3" power bait twister, a stinger hook and a crawler, in that order..Now for the 3rd leg of the system-make sure that it's longer than your dropper and add a floating jig or a plain hook (I like those Gamagatzu Octopus in colors) and add a minnow, especially a rosy red if you can find them (Muscatine Island Bait and Tackle 319-264-3174) and your ready to go..Keep the rig as verticle as you can and wait for the "take"..Don't get any better than this!!

I agree with buzzer IA that is one dynamite combo that I have used on a couple rivers here in the midwest.
By the way John Shultz of Muscatine Island Bait showed me this setup.

Sounds like a great method! Cant wait to try it on some lakes.
