After reading an earlier post I see this unit has been discontinued. I have poked around and have not been able to find one. Does anyone know where someone could still pick up this unit?

Sorry, can't help with the Magellan 6500 -- have not seen one in quite a few months.
I have the Magellan 6000 -- basically the same unit only handheld. I'm replacing it with a fixed mount Raytheon unit to interface to my other Raytheon gear easier and consequently it is available. I have the fixed mount base and external antenna for it.
