Whats the river look like???? Bring the spud bar or dynomite? Weather doesn't sound to bad just wondering if ya can get out? If so what seems to be workin? If I don't have it, you probably do right? Wildman, i didnt check the river today, but as of 4:30pm yesterday it was open. the temperature is climbing now and it is supposed to be on a warming trend for the weekend. today there was a south breeze, so the lake was not rough, there were 2 foot waves left from yesterday this morning. it has been snowing for a while, but very little on the ground, maybe 2 inches. so i would say leave the spudbar home, but just be sure to dress extra warm for the water. let me know when you get in the area, i will be listning to channel 79, so be sure to get in contact with me when you get on the water. we got our fish monday at the 29/33 lines. we found the baitfish there, but they may be back in closer now. good luck and good fishin. be safe.

I forgot, the bubblegum, rainbow,clown,flame, and red hot tiger were working, we were running them 50 foot behind the boards, and we were using the reefrunners. the 2 biggest we caught were on the black bone reefrunner.

Den.....Were you running your baits on flat lines or with snap weights or segmented leadcore line? Shallow divers or deep divers? What depth were your baits running? Thanks Fishnwiz

Thanks again for the info. The colors that you told me about,do you have them in stock ,if I can't find them in Columbus? The shops down here don't stock a whole lot this time of year. They don't realize REAL FISHERMAN fish from Mid OCT. thru SPRING. I guess all the $$$$$ comes from those guys that fish for those little green things that live in GREEN MOSS!!!!! I know I used to do that myself till a REAL GOOD FRIEND about 5yrs. ago showed me REAL FISH. I think you met him before named BINKY. Well once again STAY SAFE,STAY WARM,& HAPPY HAWG HUNTIN

Fishwiz, sounds like Denny was running his baits (deep diving reefrunners) 50 ft behind in-line planer boards. This has been the pattern the last 3 weeks (fish high in water column). Some fish also coming on lead core. I will be out there Saturday-Tuesday.

This has been a confusing week for me. 1st I didn't know about hauling concrete, now I'm at a loss on WU or is it WV. What is it and how do you join it and do I even need to know.

That said, I will be in Huron fishing Sunday, icy ramps permitting and will be in a White/Green Yar-Craft. I'll monitor 79 and if anyone needs help or info just call for EZMarc. Isn't this weather great! Stay dry and stay warm.

Wildman, i do have the colors in stock, i just got a whole load of them in today. when i left the shop i had a lot of colors that are hard to get too. stop in and have a cup of coffee before you go out. i may have some more info by then too. i listen to 79 also.maybe see you in the morning. i will be there by 6:30am. good luck and good fishin. we were runnunig the lure 50 foot back behind both styles of boards. the big ones, and the in-line boards. no weights, or lead core line. the reefrunners.

Thanks DEN for the info. I'm glad you got the colors because like I said the shops down here aren't stocking anything more till spring. They just don't listen to me, I tell them they need to because the only time these guys down here replace their gear is when they are not fishing for those little GREEN GUYS,you know the ones!!!!!!!! Those ones that taste like salad.( HA HA ) that would be right now.??? What if I was going to tight line would the distants back change from 50???? I don't have any boards on my boat,usally fish out of binky's ( HE GOT BIG BOARDS ). I never used in-lines like to give them a try real soon. See alot being used by other guys,even the ones that look like tourny guys. I was reading the post on planners, got some good imput there. I don't think I can make it up tommorrow. Binky's got XMAS PARTIES all weekend. BUT I'M DEFINITLY WISHIN I WAS FISHING !!!!!!!!! Hold 2 each of the ones you told me about PLEASE. I might just drive up from Columbus to aviod CABIN FEVER.
