Anyone catching good numbers of smelts on Lake Erie (Conneaut).
If so, How thick is the ice. Are you getting them around the
light at the dock or where?
I remember catching these years ago thru the ice off mouse island off catwaba. Set a lantern on the ice and fished just below the ice 3-4 foot down, could see them swim by. How are you catching them these days? I wonder if there still out at this end of the lake?

You're better off moving to the creeks as they are full of Steely's. Smelt may have moved out already.

Relax, wait 'til that ice starts to melt. They'll still be there. Tie flies or something. You have time.

Stick to Pymy, that's the only place you can catch anything
