I've got a three day weekend and want to hit two different lakes.

Where do you recommend I go?

I don't care about the species, but want to get into a big mess for fish.

Thanks

Eric,
Loveland lake has been fairly steady for perch. Even a few
crappie real early in the morning just out from the boat ramp on
the North end of the lake. I go out to the deeper (10'-12') water for the perch as they seem to be bigger out there. I hope to be up there on Sunday.

Bernie,

Can you give me more info about Granby? What species is biting and what presentation and location is working best.

I have a fishfinder and a gps, so any specifics will help.

I hope I am not asking for too much!

I haven't fished Grandby yet this winter, but I have a few times in the past. Large tube jigs tipped with sucker meat usually does the trick for big lakers. I've only fished the South West side. I've heard the lakers are hitting well at Williams Fork Reservoir near the dam. Again, with pumpkin colored tube jigs tipped with sucker meat.

eric,i do not use gps coodinates on granby but if you get a map i can give you places to fish call me at (970) 887-2152x4156 tonight and i will help you out as far as jigs go 1/4-1/2 oz tubes with some sucker meat in white pumpkinseed and chartruese seem to work best for me but bring your confidence colors those would probably work as good as anything else
