Does anyone have information on Walleye Fishing on Hillsdale Lake in Kansas or other lakes in Kansas? The extended cold period may delay the timing of the walleye moving up to the rocky areas this year.

this is off the Kansas State Web site, the fishing reports are very nice and update on a regular basis.

Walleye action is currently slow. Fish will be moving toward the spawning areas in the next week or so. The egg collection effort will continue in 2001 so be watchful for nets along the dam. Eight nets will be set at 500 foot intervals along the length of the dam. Fall test netting yielded very good numbers of walleye with a large showing in the the 15 to 20 inch size (18 inch minimum length limit)and walleye up to 8.8 pounds.
