Cherry Creek Report

Broke out the boat yesterday and tried for some creek eyes. They are in spawn (DOW netting going on).

Caught wipers, crappie, perch and a few real small walleyes on live bait and jigs right next to the tower.

I marked alot of fish right on the bottom in about 25 feet of water off the dam. Figured they were sleeping spawned out walleyes as they wouldn't hit jig and crawler bounced right on their heads.

Question: Are water ski boat owners the dumbest people on the planet? Do they not realize that they create a wake? Saw one buzz by a guy in a canoe and almost dumped him in 40 degree water.

Was that you in the starcraft? I had my two little girls with me in a 17' bass boat and got chased away from the tower by the ranger. I couldn't beleive all of the idiots on the ice off weekend.

I was out there yesterday (Wednesday). No ranger around, just DOW netting walleyes.

I reported to the ranger what I caught right next to the tower though!

Decided to see how much fishing I can do with my vacation time.

I may have career change ideas after the walleye tournament season (again using vacation to prefish).

I'm basically settling on the fact that work will suck regardless of where and doing what.

I may shoot for something in the outdoors industry in the future. With more experience I will be in a better situation.
