LOOKING FOR INFO ON RAIL MOUNTS USED TO HOLD ROD HOLDERS ON BOTH PORT AND STARBOARD SIDES, I HAVE SEEN THESE MOUNTS ON WALLEYE BOATS, USED FOR THE TROLLING APPLICATIONS. THEY LOOK TO BE 1 INCH DIAMETER STAINLESS STEEL RAILS. ANY INFO AS TO WHERE I COULD PURCHASE THESE MOUNTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

All the different rod holder brands have rail mount adapters.
What brand of rod holders do you want?

If you are asking about the 1" stainless steel rails, I had mine put on at my local marine store. I have 4 feet of "hand rail" on both sides, but can (and have) mount Setzer rod holders on both of them. I run four to each side.
Total cost for the steel handrails installed was about $150. To me it is well worth it.

I would recommend RAM rod holders on any mount system.
The past season I used 3 or 4 different rod holders and the Ram's were by far my favorite. For versatility and strength they have it hands down!

I have 7/8' diameter stainless steel 6 footers on my Tuffy Osprey
with Scotty rod holders, both purchased from Cabela's. They are easy to install yourself in about an hour.

I have Roberts rodholders on the rails of my Stratos. They work great and are quite inexpensive. I have used some of the other brands and the Roberts seem to work and hold up just as well.

I troll dipseys on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. The only rail mount rod holders I would use are either Perkos or Lees, leaning heavily on the Lees. I don't want my expensive rods and reels in plastic rod holders. They are a little more pricy, but well worth it.
