I am thinking of heading there this weekend. How are the water levels at the landings, treatment plant and second landing, for launching 17-19' rigs? What is the water temperature like? What has the bite been like? What seems to work best, jigs with live bait or plastics? How about crank baits? Thanks for any help.

Fished Nekoosa Saturday and Sunday 4/7- 4/8. River is very high with large current, the males are in the slack area. Caught 15 with only 2 keepers. Work bright colored jigs or lindy rigs SLOW, thats the ticket, with water only 38 the fish aren't real agressive yet. I fished from shore, Saturday night the fish got agressive at sunset. I only fished Saturday 3 hours and the same Sunday. Beats doing yard work. Tight lines.
