This might seem obvious to most, but before I change it myself I want to double check. Last trip on my unit it quit recording the depth, all else works normally.i.e. temp, speed, log miles. I can not hear any clicking with ear at transducer. Has the transducer gone bad or can it be something else? Unit is going on 6 yrs old.
Thanks in advance

Before you replace the transducer, make sure that the unit is set up for the proper transducer frequency. I had my 350a re-set itself last year, and couldn't get any depth readings until I saw that it was looking for the wrong transducer.

Lowrance dealers have a unit that sumulates an input to the 350. When I had problems with mine they hooked it up to the simulator and it worked fine. That left the transducer, which was the problem.

Another thing that's easy to miss is to go into the menu and be sure that the "sonar" is turned on.

One more thing you can try before sending it back is if you can locate a tranducer long enough to see if that s the problem it could save you a few bucks. Tell the person or Company that has it, if it works you'll buy it, Of course then buy it if it fixes your problem. Mines on it's way back to the factory now!!!!
Make sure your unit is set to 192kHz. If the system got reset it will defult to 50KHz which can cause a loss of bottom reading. It has happened to me.
If you are on the correct frequency , you may want to preform a cold reboot. With the unit off, press and hold the CLR key and turn the unit on.

this happened to me several yrs ago when i was on erie...i can't remember what i did to correct it but i did not send it back... i think my battery was low but worked on everything but the bottom but i could be mistaken...problem was eventually fixed but not sure if it was just changing the battery...steve
