A group of us would like to head up to Bellevue on Saturday. We heard today that they may be expecting some major flooding by then. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Fred

You might as well stay home this weekend the river at Bellvue is suppose to be at r over flood stage by sunday and the water is rising as we speak. I'm afraid that the spring run just might be over on the river. There were some nice fish being caught the last couple weeks but those females were HEAVy with egg and I would think that they are either spawned out or going to be laying eggs at any time. Good luck

Fred, was up toward Bellevue Tuesday, water was high lots of current, debris and litter. Fished till noon, did'nt get much fishing done, spent more time taking grass and leaves off the line. Did'nt get a bite, even tried the back waters around Crooked slough, no good. North of Maquoketa River water clarity not bad, south of Maquoketa River like chocolate milk. Water has gone up since I was out, I imagine the wingdams are'nt even fishable. Hope this helps. Good luck. riverrat
