I was wondering if anyone knows what the water levels are like on Big Stone Lake. The border opener is in about 2 weeks and I am curious about what I can expect. I am assuming the ice is gone.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Troy, I was in Western MN this past weekend and "heard" a report that the ice on the North end of Big Stone had gone out. The water levels in Browns Valley were quite high. I did see Lake Traverse first hand and it is up 4 to 5 feet higher than normal. There was still ice on Traverse out from shore, with the high winds it may have gone out. I also heard rumor that the county park on Traverse may be closed for the opener due to the high water covering part of it. Good Fishin, Anglin Andy.
