Anybody else get caught out in that storm on Monday about 4:00 p.m.? It was really nasty. It went from about 52 degrees partly cloudy to 31 degrees with snow in about 30 MIn. The whole floor of my boat was covered with marble size hail. Boy did the lake kick up in a hurry and it got real nasty. The storm caught up to me when I was about 1/2 mile from the boat launch. The fishing was great until the storm came. 10 keepers in about 2 hours between the 2 of us. I hope everbody got off the lake safe.

Sounds like you guys did pretty good before the storm. I'm heading out there Sat. morning. Do you know if they are still hitting in the shallow flats on jig/minnow ? Was anyone out there trolling yet ? Those eyes are good eating, hope I get some for the frying pan this weekend.

it's a proven fact fish really turn on right before a storm or cold front comes in.
that was perfect timing to be out fishing, however, it is also dangerous. but sometimes you have to take chances.
glad to hear you got in ok. i see guys are catching eyes in shallow, i have been doing pretty well in deep still. and picking up some big ones trolling. see you out this sat.

I actually started trolling a few weeks ago, got 7 in the boat and 5 of those were keepers. Glad I missed that storm, had my experience on lake Ontario last year with a storm coming up all of a sudden, don't want to go through that again. Good luck Saturday, see ya there.
