Went out Saturday 4/28/01 and fished until noon. Caught 4 fish, 3 of which were 19 to 20 inches and the 4th was 17". Water temp was about 53 degrees (depending on where you were at). A couple things to note. I think the following things are both temporary, but definetley something to be aware of. First, you can't get bait until 7:00 am and is closed at 5:00 pm, and Howards is putting in new gas pumps so the only place to get gas is the Marina. I didn't have to get any, but I can't imagine the price of Marina gas.

Are they bays full of water? I guess I better make sure and get gas in Wheatland! Also, are the fish past the spawn and into the weeds and trees yet?

Still low most of the trees and willows are still out of the water, Weather is supposed to move in and get nasty so that should help to bring it up, Alcova still needs to come up about 2 feet, after that's full it will come up fast. Water is 59° at Elkhorn.

just got back from Glendo, cold front with heavy wind blew in yesterday and all night last night and again this morning, temp dropped from 58 to 49 at whiskey, supposed to get to freezing there the next couple of days and nights. No gas yet at Howards, also take everything with a grain of salt, the whole ##### shaker when you here about the fish being hot.. no water coming into the trees and the weeds in Muddy are still slow going.
bring your snow gear all this week. Stan
