Wife just called and told me we are going to Mankato for my son's wrestling touney on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of Feb. I will miss the Mille Lacs gathering AND the Walleye Expo. Someone take lots of pics.

Oh well. He is a senior and ther will be more gatherings and Expos, but only one Touny for the 3th seed 171#

Go Wildcats!

Ok Aqua you arent fooling no one here. You wouldnt be anywhere else. Been there done that. 2 boys and 5 nephews were wrestlers. Missed alot of fishing over last 13 years and will never regret it. They are only with us a few years enjoy when you can. Take a break when its done and wait for the grandkids!

Talk about pressure! He's gonna have to come through for you if you have to give up the W.C. weekend. Just kidding. Family support means a lot in that sport. Give us the update the week after and let us know how he did.

I hear ya G. The twin boys are heading to College next fall and we are trying to get the most out of the next couple seasons. We have enjoyed the last 4 years of truly competitive H.S. sports. EAA was great, but High School sports are a blast. Both my wife and I are Board members for the booster clubs for the Football team, Wrestling team and the Track team. She goes to more meetings and she signs me up for the meets and stuff. Kills me! <grin> Additionally, we are and have been volunteers for several class related events through the years. So committing time to these guys has been a real joy. I joke with my wife that our 9 year old daughter is in for a real shock when we have nothing to do next year....poor thing will be buried by mom's lovin' :-)

I have 10 years till I have to look forward to an empty nest and I am in no hurry yet!

Don't think the Michigan papers are going to give me a run down on Minn. wrestling results. Think you could help us out? These newspapers have a hard enough time getting our results out in a timely manner. Thanks and Good Luck!

I remember missing the walleye opener two years in a row to go OFSAA (Ontario's equivalent of State I guess). Never brought home a medal, but it's something I'll never forget. Wish yer kid the best.
