Jiffy ice auger

I have an old 3 hp Tecumseh powered Jiffy auger that I need a gas cap for, it is a special cap with a open close valve, and also interested in buying a new auger. does anyone have their phone # or E-mail address?

You can buy a new cap at any small engine repair place,just tell them you need a metal gas cap for a techumsie engine.

Forget the metal cap. Most places that sell the auger also sell the upgrade cap. It doesn't leak! Why that isn't standard is beyond me.

I am fairly certain the older Jiffy augers had a smaller fuel cap than the new style tank does today, and the threading is also differant.

My Jiffy model 30 is 6 years old and the upgrade cap fit.

The auger brand is irrelevant. You just need to know what kind of engine you have (tecumsah). I just had to get a new one for my Lazer. Fleet Farm was out of them in the fishing dept so I went over to where they have the lawnmower stuff and found a cap there. $9.

If you've got an older Jiffy Model 30, keep it. It you are having trouble with it get it re-built. Since 90 or 91, they changed the motor or omething for emissions or something like that, and the new ones just don't run as well.
