I called Cabela's about my order for Rapala Tail Dancers. The first ones just arrived today, and my order is shipping on Thursday. They have been on back order for 2 weeks. I'll bet they are the first ones to have these cranks available. Has any one seen these baits available any where else????

Been playing with my taildancers (that sounds funny)for about 2 1/2 weeks now. Ordered them on-line from Canada. Someone here at walleyecentral turned me on to the source. IMHO they look like a wally diver.

I have 47 of them and they look great. I have all the colors and I really think that the Shad, Silver, silver/blue,and the perch will be awsume. I have had mine since X-mas I also ordered them from Canada and really never thought I would ever see them and low and behold they showed up. Since than I've tried to order some for my partners and they had none left. Said sold out. They were $7.69 canadian which is @ $4.75 US I think. Wish I could help you More.

Although a limited run is set for 2001 your favorite sporting store chain will be sure to get a few so they market nationally.
I am a crank bait junky, I can admit that, but as good as the Tail Dancer's look I am not trembling with anticipation to fill my bait box's with them. I have a good stock of divers now along with 800 or so, other productive crank bait junky type crank's to choose from. I think I may survive any potential shortage?
A crank that is not getting the press like the Tail Dancer is the SALMO Bullhead, much more of a interesting an original diver concept than the dancer in my opinion.
New stuff is always cool, who would have ever guessed changing the color of a mouse trap would sell more trap's?

800? And I thought I was junky! Oh well, at least you can use the fact that you are a guide as an excuse, LoL.

I was at the Fleet Farm Store in Winona, MN on Wednesday and they had all of the colors and all sizes. I would imagine if they had them the rest of their chain in Wisconsin and Minnesota must also be getting them on the shelf. Check into it this weekend. I think I must too hold off since there are just too many new ones to choose from...what a great infliction or should I say crankbaitenitis! My fiance' continues to preach I need to attend cranbaits anonymous.

I don't htink anybody has mentioned that these baits look exactly the Cordell Wally divers. Look at them if you get a chance if you don't believe me. The shape is the same, the bill is almost the exact same siz. The only differences i can see is the paint jobs, the brand, and the cost. Just my two cents.

Don't confuse the Tail Dancers with a Cordell Wally diver -
The Dancers are a balsa wood bait with an internal rattle, while the wally divers are a plastic bait with a sonic welded seam. The Tail Dancers are built by Rapala, and I'll bet my best dog that they run straight at ultra slow or ultra high speeds. All my Wally Divers need tuned after the first 15"er hits the net.

So instead the bills will come off after the first 15" hits the net :)
Cordell has a new version of the Diver out too. I'll bet that it's half the price and just as good. AND its not run in a limited producton scam.
Can't say I'm impressed with the way Normark been conducting itself lately.
Bob, What tackle store in Canada did you get from? I've been trying to find online sightd to order from with no success. If you could help me with adressses I would appreciate it. Thanks joel

Tail Dancers have been selling at Fleet Farm here in Wisconsin for a couple of days now. $6.99 What ever color or size you would like
Fleet Farm in West Green Bay had all the smaller sized blue silver and black and silver sold out. I like the larger ones anyway but 6.99 is pretty steep. I did grab three, they look good fof brown trout in the spring. What a scam!!!

Don't spend your money I wouldn't spend 7.99 on a crank bait...remember you people set the market so if you buy them they are just going to keep going up in price SCREW YOU NORMARK. Delete some more plugs and keep raising your prices...... I'll use wally divers and smithwicks...Pissed OFF

Just bought 3 of them last night at Mill's Fleet Farm. They're $1 more than Cabelas, (which states delivery is available February 14th). But after you add in the shipping cost from Cabelas, I figure I came out about the same. Plus, I got to look them over before buying. Both sizes were also available.

First and foremost, I don't want to slam or bash. I just want to tell my story...
I bought a handful of taildancers from FleetFarm last night. As many of you, I have been waiting to get my hands on them for a while. The first one of of the box had the bill cracked away from the body and barely hung on. I checked out the rest of the bills and found another to be "loose". These will be exchanged tonight. I will not buy any more until I see how well they hold up in the water. This may have been an abboration and I hope it is not indicative of quality. I had a few Shadraps break off bills in a similar manner last year after having it be a rareity in the past.
