I was just about ready to buy a couple of walleye angler bouncing rods(7' MH)and then i noticed that bass pro shops have thier bionic blade rods on for half price.the one i am interested in is the 7' MH trigger model because it uses the im-8 graphite and many other similar components.iwas wondering if anyone had some input on either rod or knew of any distinct differences between the two, thanks.

Vern, the Bass Pro rods are a bargain. I've used them for years for every type of fishing I do. I'm considering purchasing the EON/Bionic Blade combo in the spring catolog. Check out the Walleye Angler Rods. I really like the 8'6" trolling rods, got 4 of them. For the best bang for your buck BPS rods deliever. There are those that will suggest GLoomis/St. Croix and other high dollar rods, they are good rods, but for a person with kids running around in the boat or elderly persons (I like to have both at the same time, kind of brings the family together) the potential for broken rods is high, and BPS rods fit the bill for superior sensativity, excellent fish playing strength, and cost effective.

I have a few Bionic blade rods from BPS too. I like them a lot and the sensitivity is great. My only problem has been with the enamel coming off where it rubs on a rod holder from pulling planer boards. Has anyone else had this problem?

I use a bionic blade IM-8 for jigging and Bottom bouncing. I think it is a great bang for the buck. Super fast tip - real sensitive - I also have another BPS rod called Extreme HM54 - this is a trigger stick mainly for pulling bouncers. Its kinda a toss up as to which one I like better. I think the HM54 is stiffer - great backbone. They are on-sale now at BPS, normally $100 on sale for $40. Bringing in new inventory.

I bought the XPS Extreme MH, 7 ft trigger stick last year and love it. It is a great bouncer Rod.
