Anybody with a report on how the fishing is on Rainy?(Canadian side) I will be up there in mid-July and would appreciate any info on what is/isn't biting,( besides the bugs.) Thanks for the update, hope to make my 1st trip to Rainy a good one. Mickey

Rainy has been producing many big fish this year. The extra high water has the big fish remaining shallow this year due to it being rather cold just a few feet down.
In the north arm, use extra long snell lengths and go as natural as possible. Buy some #10 deep diving husky jerks to imitate the smelt. Speed troll them over the reefs. Fish mainlake rock piles.
In the other basins that have stained water a gold hammered spinner rig can do wonders.
The fish are usually deep by the time you will get here.
