I,m heading up to Kabetogema on friday and wondered how the fishing was this year, several reports had said the water was a couple feet higher than normal. I was wondering if this had changed any over the last few weeks? I would also appreciate it if anybody had a report on Namakan lake as well. If the water is higher does this mean the bugs are that much worse as well, nobodys really been complaining about them much this year. Thanks in advance for any help.
Water was flooding, back to HIGH normal. Fishing very good to excellent. Very many bugs! Flies are bad right now. Haven't fished Namakan yet this year, haven't had to. Last Monday two of us in about six hours of relaxed fishing caught and released 74 walleye all sizes --- Good luck!
JAK,
Care to provide any more details? How deep? Bait or artificials? Which end of the lake? Shoreline or mid-lake? I'm heading up soon and would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
