Pickstown -- "We're still seeing some small walleyes, but some limits include 15 to 16 inchers. Best area is south of Wheeler at Joe Day. Scalp, 2 miles up the river from Joe Day is also pretty good. Some are catching 4o to 60 walleyes, but keeping only 7 due to the size problem. The walleyes are down deep at 40 feet on the face of the dam (Fort Randall) and most of the guys are using bottom bouncers and spinners with live bait up there or pulling plugs in the deeper water," said veteran guide Dick Fuchs at Abby's Quick Stop in Pickstown

Fished Ft Randle the 4th. Found fish @ white swan in between 35-40ft of water. Caught most fish w/a jig & minnow or bottom bouncer w/ about an eight ft snell and 1/2 a crawler working real slow.. We kept 11 fish between 14 and 17 inches.. We worked w/ spinners earlier and only caught dinks.. Also seemed like if in shellower water, only caught dinks. We caught around 25 - 30 fish from around 0800- 1:00 so wasn't too bad.
