Line Counter for Garcia 5500's

A few weeks ago a guy talked about Garcia coming out with a line counter that can be added to Garcia 5500 reels to make them line counters. HAs anyone heard of this, seen them, or know when they will be available.

I was fishing last weekend with a Garcia rep who mentioned the same thing. I think he said they would work on any big frame Garcia.

I talked with acouple guys in the Garcia booth at the Mpls. Sportsmans show and they said they were in the works with no definite intro date. Not much help but it's all they gave me...

I read the same post a few weeks ago, so I sent garcia an Email asking if it was true. It is, but their plans are still on the drwaing board and will not be available for a year. If I remember correctly, the later stated a possible next spring date. We'll all need to be patient.

You wouldnt happen to know if the counters will fit on the 5501 lefty models???

From what I understand, they'll fit lefties and right hand.
