went perchin early friday...did poorly...went to us steel landfill and lighthouse...nobody was catching any fish.....went east of ditch near state park...not much there....decided to steelhead fish back in the mouth of ditch and got two for three on....not real large fish....one boat said they caught seven...they did seem to be getting hits when we got there....steve

We caught 7 steelhead in Trail Creek harbor on 7/4 trolling crankbaits. All were 28-30 inches, about 8-10 lbs. Some folks on the pier also had fish. We couldn't find any outside the lighthouse/breakwall in open water...all were in the harbor.

HIT OR MISS IS THE GAME. A GOOD "HONEST FRIEND" HOOKED TWENTY LAST SATURDAY OUT OF ROCKY. THE NEXT DAY HE GOT TWO!!!!!!!

The magnificence of the natural beauty surrounding the Ditch would knock my socks off -- US Steel, smoke stacks belching, beautiful downtown Gary, landfills, rip rap, stratified multi-colored layers hanging in the choked air, and other wonders of nature. Awe inspiring environment.

went saturday by myself...got 3of 6 steelhead...all came on silver suttons#06....in small boat today....one was probably 13-14 lbs...got on walleye rod and spinning reel....will be on lake sunday before church for couple hours...steve
