You have been stopped? I have been ice fishing there for years and have never been stopped. I guess my understanding was that once you were on the lake that you were fine, maybe there was some understanding between the resort owners. I would also appreciate any info.

A resort owner does have the right to charge you for entering on his/her property. However, nobody owns any part of a lake other than land. Example: You drive on the lake from the public access, and then proceed on upon entering a plowed road. This is perfectly legal, and by law, you do not owe the person who plowed the road a nickle. Although,if you would happen to have some trouble on the lake, a paying customer will get help a little faster than a non paying one. (know what I mean?) Good fishin!! EE PS. Been catchin' any eyes out on the big pond Justin??
