Any reports from Gull or Round Lake in Brainerd area? Just tell me one good tip to get my blood flowing before I make it up there. Thanks!

Hello!! Fishing wasn't too hot this morning on Pelican! At least for me and the two people that I was guiding. It's a beautiful day up here today, but I could only
find a few biters. I took a group over to Mille Lacs yesterday and we caught some nice fish, but we we could only keep one because of the TIGHT slot limit.
Fishing action in general has been decent, but the walleyes aren't cooperating on a daily basis. Northerns, bass and panfish have been pretty easy to catch (except
for this a.m.). Let's blame it on the cold front! Gull, Whitefish, North Long and many of the smaller lakes in the area are producing well. Rubber worms have been
been pretty effective in the weeds. You'll have a dirty boat by the end of the day, but you will also have caught some fish. Panfish are biting pretty well. Try the
outside weedline and if you don't find any, don't be afraid to try deeper. You will also find some nice panfish on the rocky reefs this time of year. Give it a whirl, if
you try small leeches under a slip bobber you might just catch some of those stubborn walleyes too.
Tip of the week: Just fish!! It's good for the soul!! And the heart too!!!
Good Luck, WalleyeDan
