Thanks to the response of some fellow users, the Family and I have decided to go to the Spicer, MN area on the 15th. of July. We will be fishing Green and Nest primarily for Smallmouths, but we like fishing for all species. What other area lakes are worth trying for Walleye, Pike and Bass? Is Rice lake worth the drive. Thanks for any info.

Both Rice and Koronis are worth the drive. I fished Rice with my brother on the 4th and kept 10 eyes, threw back 7 3-4 lb smallies. Went again on the 7th for a couple hours and kept 4 eyes, a jumbo perch and released an 11 1/2 lb pike. Rice is really green right now and the fish have been shallow(6-10 ft during the day). Crawler have outfished leeches 4:1. Pump them up on a 5-7 ft snell and your in bussiness. Koronis is going good now also, it's not as green and the eyes are a bit deeper. Smallie action is also more consistent. It's hard to beat Green Lake though, clear water, a lot of structure. Although the bite during the day can be tough at times a shad rap in 6-10 ft usually produces in the evening.

Good Luck!

Where are you guys staying at? If you are staying at Indian Beach Resort ask for Don Pack, because the regular guide out of there is in Minkai fishing. Green LAke fishing is starting to pick up, a couple of weeks ago there was a huge mayfly hatch so fishing was slow. Now it is getting better. If you want to catch smallmouth Green Lake is the place to be. You should come back in the fall when the minnow bite is on, you can easily catch some real monsters. Green Lake will eventually produce a new state record when the regulations are lifted. Have a great time!
